The Humble Village works under the umbrella of WORLD LINK PARTNERS, a 501c3 Organization. World Link Partners supports projects worldwide, and The Humble Village is our specific project we support in Guatemala. We work through partnerships uniting people, resources, and funds to alleviate poverty, illiteracy, and substandard living worldwide. World Link Partners and The Humble Village work hand-in-hand to be that voice for the people of Guatemala.
MEET THE TEAM:
Lauren Foulger
Director of World Link Partners and founder of The Humble Village
Lauren graduated with her Masters of Public Health and her Bachelors of Science in Sociology and International Development from Brigham Young University. She has been heavily involved with domestic and international projects that target underserved populations. While working on her Masters Thesis Project, Lauren spent several months living and working in the Alta Verapaz region of Guatemala conducting research for the World Health Organization in the areas of maternal and child health. When she witnessed the poverty and dire need in the region she became committed to help and is now dedicating all her efforts on behalf of the people there. She has been volunteering her time and effort for over decade helping improve the lives of these people
Yvonne Sinclair
In-Country Director
Yvonne first came to Guatemala in 2003 on vacation. She never left. When she saw the extreme poverty and malnutrition of the isolated Mayan villagers in Alta Verapaz, she gave up her fast paced life in the world of publishing in the U.K. and sold everything. She is dedicating her life to serving the people in the remote villages of Guatemala.
She is the Director of Naru, a Guatemalan organization that receives support through World Link Partners and The Humble Village. She lives in Guatemala and oversees several projects on a daily basis, which include: nutritional food supplement for children in various stages of malnutrition, health education, family planning, and sustainable projects to curtail malnutrition and enhance health.
Our Guatemalan Staff
Currently, we employ several local staff members who are on the ground and oversee the projects on a daily basis. Our staff members are from the local area, are trusted and respected by the villagers, and are aware of the villagers’ current needs. They work year-round to make sure the projects we are implementing are culturally accepted and are creating long term differences in the lives of the women and families we serve.
